How I Taught My Mom...The Law of Attraction - Rosalie Caruso
Teaching children about the Law of Attraction and the power of their thoughts and feelings helps them to set the stage for success early in life.

The new book How I Taught My Mom...The Law of Attraction, by Rosalie Caruso, teaches children about the Law of Attraction in a clear and simple way. The author is a Certified Law of Attraction Facilitator and Trainer, taught by the well-known author and coach on this subject, Michael Losier. She clearly has a ready grasp of the concepts of this Universal Law, that your thoughts and feelings cause you to feel good or bad, and therefore, will cause you to create good or bad results in your life. By describing this process in a manner that is easy to read and understand by most children from the age of 7 or 8 and older, Caruso helps them to see how easy it is to change their thoughts and even help those around them to change - hence the title How I Taught My Mom.

Little Deanna Teaches Her Mom About Being Positive

In the story, young Deanna comes home from school and describes to her mother the new philosophy regarding how to think, as taught by her teacher. The entire story is written in the form of their dialogue, and is relatively easy to understand. A parent might have to explain a few of the words, even starting with "Universe", "Attraction", etc., but in general there is nothing too unusual for a bright youngster to grasp. There are examples of positive and negative words and phrases, and how to use them to change your mood or attitude for better results in your life.

The book is fully illustrated with brightly-colored pencil drawings by Tracy Vanderbeck in a simple and cheerful manner, although in a rather "1950s cartoon or coloring book" style (i.e., no diversity in the group of children pictured in the schoolyard or the classroom). While at times the dialogue and pictures don't seem to match, as the words and phrases sometimes appear more sophisticated than the pictures, it is still a pleasant, fast read for any child who has a good reading ability, or for an older child or adult to read to her.

A Feel-Good Book

It is certainly clear throughout this short book, (published in paperback in 2010 and currently available from Amazon or Balboa Press, a division of Hay House), that if a person, especially a child, begins to monitor her thoughts and words, pays attention to her feelings, and strives to remain positive, that she will reap the benefits and rewards. Caruso emphasizes that easy changes, the group effort of the family all working on this together, and the understanding of the Law of Attraction will give back a great return in tangible things desired, harmony and happiness. It is an essential lesson to teach a child at any age, that he has the power to create a positive or negative result in his own life by virtue of his own thoughts and feelings. Caruso's book is a lovely way to start this teaching or to introduce it to a child or family that would be new to the concept.
